Vision 2012
This is a big week in the life of Blackshear Place. I believe that God is calling us to do more than we have ever done. To do this, it will require great vision.
Earlier in the year, one of the older members of our church family said to me, “Pastor, please pray for me; I feel like I’m losing my vision.” Loss of vision is a frightening thing! Vision is something we never want to lose.
Many think they can see, but they really don’t see. They have no vision of the glory and greatness of God. They have no vision for the calling and purpose of their lives. Families are blindly led by fathers with no vision. Young people chase after emptiness because there is no mentor to speak vision into their lives. Tragically, many churches are led by pastors with no vision, and as a result, churches lose their vision.
There’s hope for lost vision! A blind man once approached Jesus, begging for help. Jesus said, “What do you want me to do?” The man replied, “I want to see!” Have you asked God for vision? Once you receive clear vision from God, it will consume your life. It will become a compelling vision.
It is with great enthusiasm and anticipation that I will present to you, this Sunday, a vision for Blackshear Place that God has burned in my heart. I want you to be a part of this great day. I am more excited about the vision of Blackshear Place than ever before. Join me in worship at 8:08 am, 9:30 am, or 11:00 am as we explore this vision together.
See you Sunday,
Jeff Crook
