For the past few weeks, I’ve been featuring excerpts from “The Pathway to Discipleship: A Yearly Devotion & Prayer Journal.” I contributed a week of devotions to this book, along with about 50 other pastors, teachers, and men of God. The devotional below refers back to Days 1 and 4 of the week of devotions (posted on Nov. 8 and 17, respectively)
As you approach your Christmas shopping, I hope you will consider purchasing this devotional prayer book for those on your list. It makes an attractive, Christ-centered gift that can be enjoyed all year and leads to a deeper walk with Jesus. Why not pick one up for yourself as well? The book is not available in stores. You can purchase a prayer book for $15 in the Blackshear Place main lobby.
DAY 5
Reflection and Prayer
- 1. We’ve talked this week about being engaged in spiritual battle. List some ways that you can prepare for battle with the enemy and commit to follow your battle plan (Ephesians 6:10-11).
- 2. David fell, but he repented and got back on track. When we fall, what must we do to get back in to the race set before each of us (Hebrews 12:1-2)?
