“Children are a heritage from the Lord” (Ps. 127:3). We want to give thanks for the blessing of new babies born into our church family. On Sunday evening, May 9, Pastor Jeff will host a Baby Dedication Dinner and Prayer Gathering. This will be a special time for families to celebrate the birth of their little one and to commit to raising their child to love the Lord. Space is limited, and each family must register to attend and complete a Parent Dedication Class prior to the May 9 Dedication. There is nothing like a mother’s love, and at Blackshear Place we want everyone to know that we love and appreciate all of our mothers. Take the time this Mother’s Day to let Mom know how much you love her by joining her for worship on Sunday, May 10. We will honor mom during all of our morning worship services.
Graduate Recognition DaySunday, May 17
On Sunday, May 17 we will be honoring the Class of 2015! We will begin by honoring the students in the 11am worship service. In the evening at 6:00 pm we will have our Senior Banquet at Lake Lanier Islands Legacy Lodge. Please contact our Student Ministry Office for more information about this day. Deeper Student Camp6-12th Grade, June 1-5
Are you ready for the most incredible week of your life? Then get ready for Deeper Student Camp 2015! We will be returning to the Georgia Baptist Conference Center in Toccoa, GA, June 1-5. Deeper Student Camp allows students the opportunity to break away from everyday noise to cultivate deep spiritual lives. This week will be packed full of amazing messages from Pastor Rick Hermann and powerful worship from a special guest worship leader. Of course, there will be awesome recreation, lake time, games and great food! Get ready to break away and go DEEPER!
