Let's Break Ground!

Sunday, May 1

4:00 pm between Building D & Worship Center

We are inviting the Blackshear Place Baptist Church family to be a part of a milestone in our church history with a special day of events and activities for the whole family. We will begin our time of celebration with a brief dedication service to praise the Lord for all that He has done and commit to pray for the construction project as it gets underway. Then we will have free food from our own food truck park and activities for all ages in our outdoor area, including a giant sandbox, inflatable games, and a covered area to relax and fellowship. We want you to come join us for this memorable day in the life of our church!

Steps To A Great Evening

1. Go to the Entrance Tent to pick up a meal ticket for each person in your family
2. Write a Foundation Stone message and place it in the bucket of the front-end loader
3. Groundbreaking Ceremony begins at 4:30 pm
4. Food trucks open will be open until 8:00 pm
5. Fellowship & Family Activities until 8:00 pm

+ YARD GAMES FOR ADULTS
+ SEE Foundation Stones (Only Available at Groundbreaking)

Take time during the Groundbreaking evening to add a personal prayer or message to the foundation of our new building. Stones will be available for you to write the name of a lost person you are praying for, a prayer, or write a personal message. Gather with your family or friends to write on the stones and pray together before you place the stones in the bucket of the front-end loader. Make this a special time of prayer with your family and friends and add as many stones as you would like.

Deeper Student Camp 2016

Students, are you ready for the most incredible week of your life? Then get ready for Deeper Student Camp 2016! We will be returning to the beautiful Georgia Baptist Conference Center in Toccoa, GA, May 30 – June 3. Deeper Student Camp allows students the opportunity to break away from everyday noise to cultivate deep spiritual lives. This week will be packed full of amazing messages from our camp speaker and powerful worship from a special guest worship band.

Our students are the generation that will shape the world in the decade to come. At BPBC, we are raising up world changers – and you can be a part of this! Every year at DEEPER CAMP, hundreds of lives are impacted with the Gospel as students experience a lasting change that only Christ can bring. Embark on a VBS quest that will light their way! Gear up for an over-the-top underground adventure! Vacation Bible School at BPBC will ground your kids in the rock-solid foundation of God’s love, a love that takes us through life’s dark times. Mark your calendar and get ready to go spelunking with us this summer. Baby Dedication Dinner & Prayer Gathering

“Children are a heritage from the Lord” (Ps. 127:3). We want to give thanks for the blessing of new babies born into our church family. On Saturday evening, May 7, Pastor Jeff will host a Baby Dedication Dinner and Prayer Gathering. This will be a special time for families to celebrate the birth of their little one and to commit to raising their child to love the Lord.

This event is full, but if you would like to participate in the next Baby Dedication contact the church office at 770.534.7058 or come by the Preschool Welcome Desk on Sunday or Wednesday.

Maturing Families

Gwinnett Braves Outing Friday, May 6

Game Time 7:05 pm
Cost: $11 Per Person

All senior adults are invited to join us for this fun evening at the ball park! Tickets can be purchased at the Main Welcome Desk. Deadline to purchase tickets is May 1. Transportation is on your own. We will meet at 6:00 pm in the stadium parking lot for “tailgating” prior to the game. Call the church office at 770.534.7058 for more information.

New Teaching Series

Faith is more than a quietly held belief. God’s Word shows that true faith leads to action, and those who exhibit faith in Almighty God can do amazing things. Join Pastor Jeff as he leads us to explore the lives of men and women who were faith-champions and find out how we can live as people of faith today.

Celebrate Mother's Day

We want everyone to know that we love and appreciate all of our mothers. So take the time this Mother’s Day to let Mom know how much you love her by joining her for worship on May 8. All moms will receive a special gift!

National Day of Prayer

The 65th annual National Day of Prayer will have profound significance for our country. It is an unprecedented opportunity to see the Lord’s healing and renewing power made manifest as we call on citizens to humbly come before His throne.
