Go In Ministry

Mid-week Opportunities For Adults To Serve

Everyone at Blackshear Place needs a service for worship, a small group for community, and a ministry for serving. On Wednesdays this fall, we are prioritizing ways that you can use your gifts, talents and abilities in the family-life. What is your area of ministry and service? Here are some great opportunities.

This high-energy, scripture-rich ministry offers children from preschool through fifth grade an opportunity to learn God’s Word in an interactive environment.

Middle School Ministry

This service includes music, message, and a time for students to break into small groups where they can talk with their leaders about how to apply God’s Word to their lives.

High School Ministry

A weekly experience for students to engage in worship, to be equipped through relevant messages, and to be encouraged through relational small groups.

Worship Choir and Orchestra

A weekly experience for students to engage in worship, to be equipped through relevant messages, and to be encouraged through relational small groups.

Backpack Love

Blackshear Place partners with local schools to provide food for hungry children whose only meals are those they get at school. This group prepares backpacks full of donated food to deliver to these children.

Portland Connect

This group involves training on how to be fearless in sharing your faith & living on mission. You’ll meet with Pastor Aaron Bennett for Skype strategy sessions, & you’ll have the opportunity to take part in local mission experience.

Reach Team

A team of individuals who reach out to those who have visited BPBC with the goal of making a connection with them, praying for them, and also sharing the gospel. There will be occasional evangelism trainings and neighborhood outreach.

This group focuses on strengthening your prayer life and teaching you new ways to pray big prayers that will impact your life and eternity.
