“James: Mercy Triumphs” by Beth Moore

Join us as we go through Beth Moore’s newest study. We’ll learn how James, Jesus’ own brother, started out as a skeptic, yet one glimpse of the resurrected Savior turned an unbeliever into a disciple. Topics in this study include joy, hardship, faith, reversal of fortunes for rich and poor, wisdom, gifts from above, single-mindedness, the dangers of the tongue, humility, and prayer.

The book of Proverbs can equip a person to meet any problem that could possibly come her way. It is a practical books that gets right down to where we live. In this study of God’s Word, we’ll discover what God has to say about your walk with Him.

The demands of parenting can sometimes make you forget who you are besides Mom. Join us as we look through God’s Word and rediscover yourself as a whole person: wife, mother, friend, family member, beautiful and most of all a believer! You may not be the Martha Stewart of your neighborhood, but you are still breathtakingly beautiful & wholly important to God! He knows you completely, loves you more than anyone else could and wants you to know who you truly are in Him!

Seven Sayings from the Cross
“Jesus loves me this I know for the Bible tells me so.” These are familiar words to all, even little children. And these words come alive as we see Jesus’ heart revealed in the Word. The heart of Jesus is most clearly seen in the famous last words He spoke from the cross. The seven statements that came from the Savior’s lips are Compelling Words. When we take this journey into the very heart of Jesus, our Savior and Lord, we will never be the same. Join Pastor Jeff W. Crook on this journey through Jesus’ most Compelling Words.

There is something unique and special about the relationship between fathers and daughters. To celebrate this relationship, we’re inviting girls in third grade and older to the Daddy/Daughter Night. It will be an exciting evening with giveaways, delicious desserts, hot chocolate stations, and a photo booth to make this something she will not soon forget. We will also have a worship service designed for fathers and daughters with a special message from Pastor Jeff.

Cost is $5 per person with a maximum of $15 per family.

We don’t want any girl to be left out; if your father is unable to attend, you are welcome to bring your grandfather, step-father, uncle, close family friend, etc. For more information, contact jtate@bpbc.com or call our church office.

Upward Sports at Blackshear Place Baptist Church is a first-class sports experience that emphasizes healthy competition, sportsmanship, skills building, and fun. Pre-K and kindergarten will practice and play games on Saturdays — 30-minute practice and 30-minute game. First-fifth grades will have a one-hour practice once a week. All games are played on Saturdays. Registration begins January 23. Every player must attend one evaluation. Evaluation dates: 6-8 pm on Tuesday, March 6, or 6-8 pm on Thursday, March 8. First practice will be the week of March 19. First game will be April 14. Pick up registration forms at the Welcome Desk. Coaches and referees needed.
